About

Hi my name is Ray. I'm a network engineer and have been for a few years now. This is I think the 3rd time I've started this blog over the years and as I've moved and changed its been taken down and bought back up again.

I'd originally started this blog as a way of keeping track of things I'd learned as I studied for the various Cisco exams I was taking at the time and anything else i'd picked up or learned or labbed and that's still the same reason i'd bought it back online. I always knew I was going to do something in IT, but I got into networking back in high school when my school offered the CCNA course as a subject. Once I started learning about Routers and Switches etc I was hooked and I started working towards my CCNA certificate. It wasn't until i was much older though that I actually got my certification and then proceeded to get my CCNP, then my CCNA Service Provider certs. Then COVID hit right when my certs were about to expire so I was unable to renew them at the time. So I'm currently uncertified, but am very slowly working on getting my CCNP certification back again.

At the moment, most of the pages in my blog are empty other than the actual blog posts, but over time I will get around to actually putting up the content that I want to put up. For now though, other than a place for me to write stuff down so that I can remember it, my only hope is that some of the content I post will help some other network engineer or a newby in some way.

I hope you all find these resources useful and comment if you see anything I've missed or something doesn't work or even just to say Hi.

Ray
